Hi everybody,
My Dutch is not so good and I can not speak French. Nora I am a 30 year old trans woman, I live in Belgium. Last three weeks I was Diagnosed as HIV positive and I am so worried. my reading was around 250 and I am not sure WHAT IT MEANS. I told my boyfriend who lives in a neighbouring country and he was devastated. He checked his blood and he turned out to be negative. but he still is afraid and will do another test in one month. I have been with him since September last year. Now he does not really want to talk to me anymore saying he does not know what to say right after I broke down and went anxious. I live alone here and not working yet. I am from a country in Southeast Asia, where LGBT people are illegal and can be prosecuted. That is one of the reasons I moved to Belgium. I got the papers to live here and now learning the language and trying to find work. I do have mutualitate / insurans. I havent received any prescription from doctor yet and I am worried. I am worried about costs, treatments and stigmas from society. I am also very sad Now That my boyfriend is not talking to me anymore.
I feel so down and worried. I live in Kortrijk. Are there any nearby support group or organization that i can talk about my worries and problems with? thank you for your time reading this.

Hey Nora,
So sad to read your story and the way you feel.
Sensoa does a great job getting helping people who feel a thunderstorm of emotions after diagnose. I've read in the earlier reactions that you've been in contact, good!
Via this way I give you a warm digital hug. You don't have to go through this alone.
Grts
Hans
Hi Hans, Thanks for reaching out and for the support. Much needed.
I will contact Sensoa very soon to have better understanding in this situation. I am not clear on regulations and supports in Belgium as I just moved here since last year and I was just diagnosed three weeks ago :(
thanks and hugs
Nia
